Gisburn Auction Marts held their first machinery and equipment sale of the year.

A good variety of farm implements where forward, which attracted a large crowd, producing an excellent clearance percentage. With good used spare parts commanding premium prices.   Topping the sale was a genuine off-farm condition Nuffield 465 tractor which was right on its money at £1600, selling to local farmer and tractor enthusiast, Mr K Brennand, Rathmell, Settle, North Yorkshire.
